Maple barbecue pork burgers can be enjoyed as a party food during the long, hot summer months and the cool, fall days.

A maple barbecue pork dish can be made for a small, family barbecue or a large picnic. Typically, ground pork is served as a dish because of the ease of cooking. An important concern for barbecue ground pork to maintain flavor is to make sure all ingredients remain cold for the best taste.

Pork shoulder is the top portion of the front leg of the hog and it is often used when making ground pork. This pork dish can be grilled and enjoyed during the summer and early fall season.

Serving Suggestions for Maple Barbecue Pork

  • Barbecue ground pork can be enjoyed with rice instead of coleslaw. Use a box of rice and cook as directed. Remove from the pan, and spread on a medium plate. Top with maple barbecue ground pork.
  • A baked sweet potato can be exchanged for bread. A sweet potato is enriched with vitamin A and potassium.
  • During a summer picnic, french fries are commonly used instead of bread or rice. Take a baked potato, remove the skin, and slice the potato into 1/8 slices. Place on a small plate and top with maple barbecue pork.
